I started doing one semi private per week a long time ago, and initially it was to learn because I was new to the gym and like to do things the “right way.” Semi’s give you the opportunity to ask questions about form and understand what you are doing and why. I started seeing increasing benefits from these sessions, beyond what I saw from the large group classes, and so I have increased to 2x per week. The added benefits I am seeing are being much more confident with increasingly heavy weights due to the extra supervision and challenge from the trainers. I continue to do 2 semi’s per week because it is so personalized. I have had to make modifications due to occasional knee pain, and have been able to workout all through healing. It is such a relief to know that I can continue to come to the gym and keep progressing, no matter what may be going on with my body!
