πŸ’š Member Highlight: Jason Harris πŸ’š

β€œI've been coming to CORE57 just over 3 years now. It started one day when I was innocently walking by the gym and Kolleen started yelling at me, then harassed me until I joined πŸ˜† I'd always loved playing team sports growing up but never really stuck at a traditional gym in my adult life. I eventually found Crossfit and loved the format but struggled with regular injury, so I stopped. I was thankful to find CORE57 because it had all of the things I was looking for: small group format, emphasis on quality movement, focus on core strength and flexibility. The excellent coaches help in working around issues and achieving goals. All of these things and a great community keep me coming back consistently. I think everyone should give it a try regardless of current fitness level."

We're so glad you found us, too, Jason!

What Are You Favorite Exercises? Lower stability exercises: Single leg box jump, Single leg deadlift, Bulgarian split squat

What is your Favorite Music to Get Your Heart Pumping? 80's Hair Bands and 90's Grunge. - LETS GOOOOO!

Favorite Cheat Food? Pancakes or something chocolate. Or maybe both at the same time.

Who is your biggest supporter? Easy: my wife, Robyn. She inspired me and has enabled me to change the way I eat and to get fit. I don't think I could exercise consistently without her help on a daily basis.

What keeps you coming back to CORE57? Coaches - programming is excellent and coaches regularly tune workouts my needs and work around issues if needed. They're also fun to be around (except when Kolleen adds reverse bear crawls). Emphasis on flexibility and core strength - this has helped improve my movement significantly and is the only way I can be consistent without injury. Community - I like the group format and working alongside like minded folks. I've also really enjoyed seeing others have success in using the Core program. Measurements and goals - Being a techie, I like metrics. Measuring each workout helps me to know intensity and recovery needs as well as provides a record of whether I'm working consistently. Other tools help to measure body changes much more accurately than just weight on a scale. Regular goal setting discussions are also helpful to making adjustments and checking progress.
