Instructor Highlight - Kolleen Losch

Staff Highlight - Kolleen Losch

This month we’d like to highlight the kind, generous, and brilliant founder of the CORE57 mission, Kolleen Losch.

Fun Facts: Kolleen was a competitive gymnast and went on to compete on the national level as a collegiate cheerleader. Her favorite exercise is a handstand, and she hope’s to be able to perform it when I am 70. She enjoys outdoor adventures, especially white water rafting with her family of seven.

Q: What inspires you?

A: I’m inspired by connecting with others, especially spending time with my family. I’m inspired by empowering others. I get inspiration from taking the road less traveled, and I enjoy a challenge both mentally and physically. I love adventure and getting out of my comfort zone.

Q: Which Core57 foundation resonates with you and why?

A: Since I was the creator of the foundations, they all speak to me. When I was considering opening a second gym, I reflected on what was the best of Core Physique. I wanted members to live and breathe a healthier lifestyle and I knew that meant more than just coming into workout. We needed our clients to understand that hitting their wellness goals was so much more than 3-4 45 minute workouts per week. So was born CORE57! All the foundations are so very important. They truly are at the foundations to a healthy mind and body.

Q: Why did you pick fitness as a career?

A: It picked me :) I have always been active and loved to move. I had a neighbor that had several severe knee injuries and wanted to workout and get healthy. She was frustrated by the lack of knowledge and support of personal trainers. I ended up going after my personal certification to be able to help her workout. Little did I know that someday I would own two gyms with an incredible staff and awesome members.

Q: How do you like to spend your free time?

A: I enjoy hiking, jumping on my trampoline, and spending time with friends and family.

Q: What is 2022 bucket list item you hope to experience?

A: I want to travel out west with my family and hubby.

Q: Do you have a favorite quote?

A: “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.” – Winston Churchill

Q: What is a goal you have for this 2022?

A: My word for 2022 was healthy!! I want to have healthy gyms and help both recover from two long years of Covid. I want to have healthy friendship that help me to be a better version of myself. I want to lead my team in a healthy way that allows them to grow as individuals. I want to show our members the importance of a healthy lifestyle. I want to have healthy relationships with my kids. To be present in the moment with them.... they are all growing up way too fast. I want to have a healthy marriage where my husband and I continue to grow as a couple.
