TAMMY THOMSON
Fitness Trainer
Two Words That Describe Tammy:
PASSIONATE & ENCOURAGING
I did my first triathlon in 1997 and did many triathlons and running races for the next 20 years. Cycling was my favorite of the three. In 2005, I became a spin and group fitness instructor. I met Kolleen in 2011, and at her urging became a personal trainer in 2013. I became part of the Core Team in 2019.
In 2013, I started working with a nutritionist and realized how important nutrition was. In 2014, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and began living without a thyroid. Good nutrition and exercise have helped me through the difficulties of living without a thyroid. This experience helps me to help people who have things to overcome to live a healthier lifestyle.
My goal is to be healthy and strong. I love mountain biking, being outside, and spending time with my favorite 3 – my husband – Ken, son – Grant, and daughter – Andi.
I currently hold the following certifications: NASM Certified Personal Trainer, NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist, NASM Behavioral Change Specialist, Mad Dogg Spinning Instructor.
