Staff Spotlight: Fran Ritter
Meet our staff member of the month for December, Fran, our Trigger Point Trainer here at CORE57.
What CORE57 Foundation resonates with you and why?
Life balance resonates with me the greatest. I work hard to make sure my work and personal lives have a sense of harmony and this gives me happiness and fulfillment.
What is your favorite Spotify playlist?
What is your favorite recipe?
What is your favorite quote?
“Everything is a BIG deal when you live as if tomorrow is not promised.” My dad said this a lot and I am not sure where it originated from. My dad had MS from the time I was born until he passed at 57 years old – I was 34 years old.
What inspires you?
I am inspired by the self-efficacy of others. Their innate ability in developing the confidence to exert control over their behavior and social environment as well as their ability to execute actions necessary to accomplish tasks. I love seeing efficiency! It is the “tinker bell” within me.
What is a 2023 goal that you set for yourself?
I wanted to get my Roll Model certification to become a Roll Model Practitioner. I accomplished this in August. You will now find my name with all the other 168 elite Roll Model Practitioners in the world at tuneupfitness.com.
What is a bucket list item you hope to do?
I actually do not live my life THINKING about a bucket list of things that may or may not be accomplished. I spend my life DOING things that matter to me and others in the present moments. Instead of thinking of things I want to do before I die, I ask myself what are the things I will regret not doing while I am alive, like spending time with my family and friends, and yes…traveling when possible and making a difference in the life of another most importantly.
How do you like to spend your free time?
My free time is spent exercising (swimming), being with my family at our lake home, reading books that take me to another place, and I love listening to music and snuggling with my two Scottish Terriers.
Why did you pick fitness as a career?
Well, I am a nurse (BSN RN CDCES) by trade and love just teaching about the body. A little fact about me on how much I love the human body – I was TA in anatomy when I was in college. I was given the opportunity to teach to my peers in an anatomy lab. I fell into recovery in my 40s because I discovered doing regular recovery allowed me to have more fulfilled days in a week, mentally and physically, as I have aged. I really felt (physically & mentally) the importance in adding this to my own life and decided to teach it to others and share the benefits I discovered.
