Instructor Highlight - Sara Harrison

Staff Highlight - Sara Harrison

With our Lean for Life group nutrition program beginning April 11th, we figured it’s the perfect time to highlight the woman leading the program, Sara Harrison! If you haven’t met her yet, Sara is one of our trainers and nutritionists. Read the Q&A below to learn more about this dedicated and indispensable member of our staff 💚

Q: What inspires you?

A: I am inspired to help others discover their best self in life - with balance in nutrition, movement, mindset and personal development. It is a journey not a destination. To be able to help others see that little daily practices really make a difference and add up to so many positive outcomes - confidence, energy, positivity, and so much more. Finding what works for each person is the fun in my job as a trainer and nutrition coach.

Q: Which Core57 foundation resonates with you and why?

A: Fuel is so important to me because it changed my life when I started paying attention to my food. I used to think my energy came from coffee and Diet Coke! When I started incorporating more whole foods and a balanced approach to my fuel (I still enjoy coffee and a few diet cokes here and there!) I am able to have more consistent energy. I am passionate about helping others with their nutrition.

Q: Why did you pick fitness as a career?

A: I love encouraging others to be the best version of themselves through fitness and nutrition. If we don't have our health, it limits how we experience life. With all of my jobs - mom, college teacher, conference center director, and personal trainer/nutrition coach they all help people discover who they are and live their best life.

Q: How do you like to spend your free time?

A: Honestly, when I have a free afternoon - I love to get outside hiking, running, walking with Scott or friends.

Q: What is 2022 bucket list item you hope to experience?

A: I want travel internationally again.

Q: Do you have a favorite quote?

A: “Life has no limitations, except for the ones you make.”

Q: What is a goal you have for this 2022?

A: Trying to pick just one is going to be hard! I set goals in different areas: fitness - a perfect pull-up, spiritual - read through the entire bible, relationships - set aside quality time each week with an important person in my life to connect with, hobbies - to relearn knitting, and to leave more downtime on my schedule. Hmmm- sounds challenging huh!?! :)
