The Gift of Nutrition

At Core57 we’re passionate about nutrition. It is one of our 7 Foundations of fitness and one of the most effective ways to help you fast track your own wellness goals. Our in-house nutrition specialist Rebecca works alongside our clients to build nutrition programs tailor-made for their lifestyles, with guidelines they can apply to daily living.

We’re huge believers in fueling your body well because we know it works. But don’t take our word from it. We caught up with Core57 member Flanny Boyles, who gifted herself a nutrition program with Rebecca back in January of 2022, and one year out, here’s what she has to say about the ways it has transformed her health and overall wellness.

Client Spotlight: Why Nutrition Works

“When I initially joined Core 57, I had gotten really strong and even improved my body composition but got stuck when I tried to do on my own.  I wanted to truly SEE and be able to showcase my hard work in the gym and knew at this point it was about my nutrition,” said Flanny.  

“In the past I have done ALL THE DIETS…you name it, from Weight Watchers to Jenny Craig and others, but they never stuck long term because I wasn’t developing a strategy unique to ME and I also wasn’t learning how to actually FUEL my body with the right balance!  I realized that restriction and deprivation can only be short-term and I needed something more sustainable,” she said.  

In January 2022 Flanny decided to gift herself nutrition programming with Rebecca. According to Flanny, “It was the best investment I’ve ever made!”  

Planning and Preparation: The Keys to Success

Preparation is one of the keys to succeeding at anything we setout to accomplish, and nutrition is no different.

“What worked for me was actually planning and taking my meals and snacks to work instead of relying on fast food and gas station junk. Before starting Core 57’s nutrition program, I had gotten in the habit of grabbing fast food on the way into work and many times, not even eating real meals.  Rebecca helped me with meal prep that wasn’t super fancy. All it took was some planning ahead on the weekend and having my proteins and veggies prepped and packing it to take to work,” said Flanny.  

Our Core57 Nutrition Programs are built around what works for you. And we know that looks different for every client. Once Flanny found what worked for her, it was off to the races!

“Initially, I did make the decision to track my intake even though Rebecca didn’t require me to do so, but I realized that it taught me A LOT about what I was really getting from a macro standpoint. One of the biggest things I shifted was increasing my protein intake, and that made a huge difference in how I felt, and managing my cravings.  I didn’t have to track for very long because I learned what I needed to know.  It was truly eye-opening,” she said.  

What makes Core57 Nutrition Programming Different?

This isn’t a diet. It’s a program that teaches you the appropriate way to fuel your body and helps you build sustainable habits that you can continue to apply every day. We want to make wellness approachable and attainable.

“I’m happy to say that I never felt like I was dieting and still indulged in my favorite foods, went on date nights, and enjoyed dinners out with friends,” said Flanny,  “I found a really nice balance for myself and lost over 15 pounds of body fat while increasing my muscle mass at the same time!  And now, I feel confident I can maintain this lifestyle forever!”
