“Try and fail, but don’t fail to try” – John Quincy Adams

Physical activity has been apart of my life since I can remember. Whether it be playing in the backyard, schoolyard or playing field, activity has always been a constant for me. Growing up on Long Island, NY, I knew I always wanted to follow in my mother’s footsteps and become a teacher. I loved being in school and I thoroughly enjoyed helping others. Put the two of those attributes together and you find an extremely hard working and dedicated Health and Physical Education teacher and coach of 12+ years.

I grew up playing almost every sport I could come across and to this day, I continue to thrive on competition. I feel it brings out the best in me and in others. I continued my baseball playing career into college and now have the privilege of coaching it and being a mentor to my players just as my former coaches were to me. I have taught Health & PE in Fulton County schools for over 12 years and have a master’s and specialist degree as well. I have had the awesome opportunity to work across all grade levels during my time in Fulton County Schools which has given me the unique ability to know where students need to be and what lies ahead for them.

Now more than ever before, physical fitness and activity must be a constant in our lives. Instilling within our future generations the core principles of valuing physical activity and all the positives and joy it can bring to us throughout a lifetime is my goal. Having the basic foundations or movement and activity has been proven to enhance lives and overall well-being. I bring this passion with me into the classroom/gym when I am teaching my students and I carry it with me everywhere I go.

I currently reside in Alpharetta with my wife and 5 year old identical twin boys. We love being a part of this community and enjoy being active and exploring everything this awesome area has to offer.
