Tell Us A Bit About Yourself
I am 46 years young and live in Milton Georgia since 2007. My husband is David and we have 3 kids, Cole (age15), Luke (age 13) and Ava (age 11). I can’t forget the family pet, Murphy. I am a registered nurse (RN). I have my BSN and a CDE. I specialized in endocrine testing and teach Growth Hormone, Cimzia, Rebif and Kineret to patients that have either GH deficiency, RA, Crohns and MS.
I chose Core after many seeds were planted in my head from Kolleen (I saw her everywhere at the time). I have always worked out, alone mostly. 5-6 years ago I made my kiddos attend the Summit Hill exercise classes Kolleen put on and my 2 boys had attended a summer boot camp at Bell Memorial park. I would drop the boys off and then run around the local neighborhoods until they were done. There was an adult boot camp going on, in the parking lot, as I ran by myself. I kept watching the boot camp and noticing how much fun everyone was having. I begin to think I would try a month. Well, after 4 years I am still here.
What Did You Do Exercise-Wise Before CP?
Prior to Core, I actually was a “Turtle Pace” runner and a typical gym socialite. I ran, alone, 3-5 miles 2 days a week or road a street bike approx. 12-20 miles, with a friend, I weight lifted and speed walked. I have always worked out 5 days a week for over 13 years.
What Is Your FAVORITE Exercise/Body Part to Work On?
My most favorite exercise, this year, is Yoga. The Core Yoga class has change my life with regards to past issues with hip tightness and flexibility. I began to see results within a month. My stride is longer, my IT bands are loosened, and I can touch my toes! My favorite poses are the Pengiun, Happy Baby and the Open Lizard.
What Is Your HATED Exercise/Body Part to Work On?
Honestly, I hate the Burpee! It is my cardio Purgatory. Abdominal V ups are a killer as well.
What Type of Music Gets Your Heart Rate Up?
I love music! I am a rap music junky. I also love the 80’s alternative. 80’s alternative reminds me of years past. Working out goes by fast when your singing and dreaming!
Do You Exercise On Your Non-CorePhysique Days?
I have a 5 day workout ritual. When I am not at Core I am speed walking, hiking and doing yoga. I do not purposefully work out on the weekends. Accidentally it happens some times.
What Is Your Favorite Cheat Food(s)?
I must have been a senorita in my first life because I love Mexican Food. We do not go often but I Love Uncle Julios!
If You Had A “Me” Day (exercise not necessary), What Would It Look Like?
8am wake up, Walking on Treadmill and stretches as I watch my recording of recent Jimmy Fallon shows,1.5 hour Massage at Massage Envy, Salad Late Lunch at Mittie’s tea room with Ava, Afternoon pool side with Cole and Luke, Evening neighborhood walk with Murphy and Ending at night with David and the kids in the hot tub, talking about everything under the hidden sun. The outdoor fire place would be blazing Pinon wood and we are just hanging out , watching the moon cross over and the stars sparkle.
Who Is Your Biggest Supporter?
My husband, David is one of my biggest but I feel I get support from my neighbor, Becky Danyo, my book club friends and my Core friends.
